the inefficiency of outrunning time

if there is no established technique that lets us voluntarily slow down time around ourselves, then time is surely and actually flowing, carrying us from a form of past into a form of future. yet we are rushed into tomorrow’s events and to outgrow yesterday’s mistakes, at the same time we are taught to escape the reality of chronology by the marketing of youth? quite inefficient, somewhat cruel. no wonder time loses our control and we are moving as if time is manageable! where then, are we allowed to exist as we are?
