Aika Maeda, founder of PHOTOGRAIKA and known for her distinctive approach to nostalgia photography, attended the Mensa World Gathering 2026 in Bucharest, Romania, marking 80 years of intellectual curiosity and human potential within the international Mensa community.

With an academic background spanning psychology, management, and criminal justice and criminology, Maeda brings an interdisciplinary perspective to her creative practice. Her signature philosophy, “Emotional Time Travel,” explores the relationship between memory, identity, human behaviour, and the emotional meaning of a moment.

For Maeda, photography extends beyond aesthetics into the study of how one perceives, remembers, and experiences the (extra)ordinary world. Her participation in this milestone gathering reflected the intellectual curiosity and cross-disciplinary thinking that inform her work across fashion, editorial, portrait, and talent photography in Europe and Japan.

ウィーンを拠点に活動するフォトグラファー・PHOTOGRAIKA（前田愛香）は、ルーマニア・ブカレストで開催された「メンサ世界集会2026（Mensa World Gathering 2026）」に参加した。国際的な知的交流の場であるメンサの創設80周年を記念するイベントとして開催された。

心理学、マネジメント、犯罪学・犯罪心理学を学んだ前田は、こうした交流からの刺激を写真表現へも反映させている。独自のノスタルジアコンセプト「Emotional Time Travel（感情のタイムトラベル）」では、記憶やアイデンティティ、人間行動、そして何気ない一瞬に宿る感情の意味を探求する。写真を単なる視覚的記録ではなく、人間の知覚や記憶、経験を捉える表現として位置づけている。

今回の参加は、知的好奇心と分野横断的な視点を重視する前田の創作姿勢とも重なる。
